How It Works

Health Vantis facilitates access to diagnostics, second opinions, treatments and procedures that have long waiting lists or are not available in Canada in a timely and affordable manner.  We make the process of how medical travel works simple for you.

You are the decision maker when it comes to your health and medical travel. These 6 steps below are easy to follow and ensure you are well taken care of!

You let us know what your medical needs are, your expectations, your concerns and Health Vantis listens. Your information is handled in a confidential manner to protect your privacy.

We do all the research! With your carefully documented details, Health Vantis searches for the best practitioners and facilities that we have already vetted and will most effectively address your medical needs.

*Research fee applies at this step.

When possible, we provide you with more than one facility and estimate option, as well as all of the information for each practitioner and facility where your diagnosis or treatment might occur. Based on the details Health Vantis provides you always make the final decision. You are in control of your health-related destiny.

Your arrangements will all be meticulously handled for you including flights, lodging, transportation, valid passport, travel health recommendations, immunizations (if needed), local cell phone access, as well as tours and sightseeing for accompanying family members/caregivers (if applicable).

Health Vantis is your central point of contact while you are at the hospital. Over the course of your medical procedure or treatment, Health Vantis keeps you informed on all the information necessary to facilitate a smooth and comfortable transition through the various phases of your medical journey.

Health Vantis will follow up with you after you return home. If there is a need for physical therapy or other continued care Health Vantis can make the arrangements for you.

Health Vantis has excellent working relationships with several facilities within the US and Canada.  Many of these facilities hold prestigious awards such as:

  • Top Key Performers on Quality Measures
  • Beacon of Excellence Awards
  • Outstanding Patient Experience Award
  • Leader in Patient Care and Safety
  • Outstanding Achievement Award from Commission on Cancer
  • Leader on Patient Care and Safety from the JCI
  • Stroke Gold Plus quality achievement award with Target: Stroke Honor Roll from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association
  • 5-Star Recipients for Back Surgery, Total Hip Replacement, Total Knee Replacement and Joint Replacement 3 years in a row
  • Pinnacle of Excellence Award for Patient Satisfaction and many more.

Some of these facilities have held these designations for several years in a row.

These same award winning facilities offer affordable pricing.

Many people are concerned with cost when they hear medical treatment in the US, and rightly so. However, our facilities are experienced in pricing their services for a cash paying customer in a bundled payment.

The pricing is comparable if not better than other common or popular destinations such as Mexico or Costa Rica.  The difference is that the high standards are easily verifiable: customer service satisfaction, mortality, infection and re-admit rates, hospital accreditation, doctor certification, license standing and prior legal claims. Not all countries track or publicly provide this information.  This transparency gives our clients reassurance and the peace of mind they need when they make their decision.

You can afford  the excellent care or surgery without flying across the world and increasing the risk of complication.

Listed below are some common procedures people seek to have abroad and pricing at our facilities (Prices are in USD unless noted otherwise):

  • Total Hip Replacement $20,00 CAD
  • Hernia Surgery $3,700
  • Total Knee Replacement $15,000
  • ACL Reconstruction $6,800, with Allograft $8,600
  • Rotator Cuff Surgery (Arthroscopic) 6,500
  • Bi-Lateral Ear Tubes $2,100
  • Inguinal Hernia $3,700
  • Cataract (1 eye) $4,800
  • Septoplasty $4,700
  • Bunionectomy $4,300 1 foot or $6,300 for both feet
  • Lumbar and Cervical Epidural Steroid Injection $700
  • Carpal Tunnel $2,800
  • Lumbar Discectomy (Multiple levels) $8,700

Our agreement with Cancer Treatment Centers of America allows for 40-50% discounts off the pricing you would receive if you called in on your own.

***Note – As with any medical facilitator, pricing does not include the cost to travel and accommodations or our fee.   Health Vantis charges an industry standard fee for our services which falls within 10-15% of the cost of the procedure.

There are no wait times with our facilities.
